This is a short but very sweet EP intended to tide all of us hungry Beirut fans over until the full-length comes out in the fall. With four new tunes and a charming new version of “Scenic World,” the EP lets us hear Beirut as a full eight-member band. Lon Gisland (a geographic pun) puts to rest any fears that Zach Condon was a one-hit wonder; the songs reveal once again his unique ability to craft songs of great intimacy, power and beauty.
